In today’s society, artificial intelligence is in its infancy. Once seen mostly as something out of science fiction, artificial intelligence is quickly becoming an ever evolving tool used for a variety of creative purposes. Artificial intelligence has the potential to be used as an incredible tool for inspiration in different artists, as it can generate images that would take a human weeks, in minutes. However, some people fear that all these developments in A.I. mean the end for several creative jobs, like graphic designers, musicians, and writers. There is also a fear of A.I. bias and plagiarism, as well as who we hold accountable if these issues arise. While this new concept of machine replacement can seem frightening at times, the reality is we are nowhere near that point.
The goal of this project is to show people how A.I. can be used as a tool for inspiration in art and design, and to reassure people that the jobs and efforts of artists and designers are not at risk of being replaced by artificial intelligence. Through the use of an art book, I would like to explore how A.I. can make for a useful aid when creating designs. This can be a great way to show people a glace into the future of what we can do with human and artificial intelligence.
